Is Kinacres a farm manager?
No. You and your tenant keep making farming decisions. We handle the administration, tracking and reporting around your land.
Do you find tenants, collect rent or negotiate my lease?
No. In Iowa those are licensed real estate activities. You stay in charge of your farm; we give you the data, dates and documents to handle it confidently, and we can point you to a licensed farm manager if you want someone to take it over.
Where does the rent benchmark come from?
Iowa State University Extension's annual cash rental rate survey, by county and land quality.
I inherited land with my siblings. Can everyone see the report?
Yes. Membership includes a shared document vault and report for every owner you add.
Do I need to be in Iowa?
No. Most of our members live in other states.
What do you need from me to start?
Your county, approximate acres, and a copy of your lease if you have one. If you don't have a written lease, that's the first thing we'll flag.
Can I cancel?
Yes, membership renews yearly and you can cancel anytime before renewal.
Is my information private?
Yes. We never sell data and only share documents with people you authorize.
